Kaleidoscope Foundation, Inc. is a private, grant-making foundation endowed by David E. and Judith M. Chymiak established in December of 1999.  Rather than naming the foundation after the family, the Chymiaks chose “Kaleidoscope” in hopes of reflecting their current and future hopes for the organization. Similar to the mosaic created by a kaleidoscope’s blending of bits of colored material between plates and mirrors, the Foundation brings together the differing viewpoints and life experiences of the family members who serve as its Board of Directors.  The result, we hope, is an organization that is more thoughtful, more open to new ideas and more effective in creating positive outcomes for the community, than would be possible through our individual efforts.  Furthermore, as our name implies, it is also our intention that Kaleidoscope Foundation, Inc. will remain flexible and responsive to the changing patterns and scenes within our community as, together, we work towards a better future for everyone.
