Kaleidoscope Foundation Mission

Mission

Kaleidoscope Foundation’s mission is to help people achieve their full potential as individuals and as contributing members of society by investing in efforts that empower human capabilities, enhance the quality of life and enrich our community. 

Areas of Interest

Kaleidoscope Foundation invests in areas including but not limited to:

  • Emergency assistance for individuals and families, including provision of basic necessities, temporary shelter, and bill payment assistance
  • Temporary shelter and transitional housing for individuals and families experiencing displacement due to violence, economic difficulties or natural disasters
  • Children’s homes (residential homes for children who have been temporarily or permanently removed from their home or who, through other circumstances, have been left without a parent or guardian)
  • Job readiness, career counseling, workforce development and welfare-to-work efforts for unemployed and under-employed youth and adults, including free office facilities support
  • Provision of food and household items to disadvantaged families
  • Free use of computers and instructional programming for low-income families and individuals
  • Independent living services for senior citizens
  • Crisis and respite child care
  • Promotion of academic achievement and the development of life skills/ critical assets in disadvantaged children and youth
  • Daytime care and support services for adults with a physical impairment, memory or mental disorder, or who are socially isolated

Limitations

We generally invest within Oklahoma and the greater Tulsa area.

Kaleidoscope Foundation does not consider grants for the following:

  • Capital, endowment, or scholarship requests
  • Religious organizations for religious purposes
  • Membership in civic organizations or trade associations
  • Benefit national fundraising events or tickets for the same
  • Recognition or testimonial events
  • Fundraising campaigns to eliminate or control specific diseases; medical research
  • Fraternal, veteran or professional associations
  • Public service or political campaigns; political lobbying activities
  • Participation in conferences
  • Travel for groups or individuals
